I became a football only in recent years, but watching the game has quickly became THE thing to do on cool fall weekends. Crashed in front of the TV, enjoying some of the best deals on cable tv with all the cool football extras, including all my team’s games, home and road – that’s a little bit of heaven right there! I might be a thousand miles away from the Meadowlands, but I can still support my team all season long, for every touchdown. Or fumble.
I love the intensity of the sport and the strategy. Maybe I’m an armchair quarterback, but when my guy does the right thing, when he makes the pass for a touchdown, I feel it. I’m right there with him and with the guys celebrating in the endzone. It does not get any better than that, I promise you.
Believe it or not, I watch the draft every spring now, even the later rounds, when I can. You have to know, by the time training camp starts, I’m already dying for the season, or even the preseason, to begin. Sounds crazy, kind of like an addiction, but that’s how it is for me. It’s like I live for fall NFL football.
